Michael A. Brown is a native of Hardeeville, SC. He enlisted out of high school in the United States Army on 9 September 2000 as a Combat Medic (68W). He served in the 1-509th Airborne Infantry Battalion for three years and with the 115th Field Hospital for two years. He did an 8-month deployment to Iraq with the 115th Field Hospital before being honorably discharged from 5 years of enlisted service.
Michael Brown graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received his commission as a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps in June 2010. He has worked in Cardiac Telemetry Units, Medical-Surgical Wards, and as a Brigade Combat Nurse. He is assigned to Womack Army Medical Center as a Mental Health Nurse.
Michael Brown's military education includes the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Program, AMEDD Officer Basic and Captains' Career Course, Combat Casualty Course, and Basic Healthcare Admin Course. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Field Medical Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.
Michael Brown has over ten years of experience in Real Estate investing. He is a buy and hold (BRRR: buy, rehab, rent, refinance) artist with a track record of success and excellent customer service. His passion for improving his community led him to invest in section 8 single-family homes and now quadruplexes and commercial property in the same underserved communities. He is a teacher and mentor with various successful mentees. His most prominent Mentee, Jeremy Johnson, gave him the title "Mike the Mentor." Jeremy has built a successful Real Estate Investment firm from his mentor Mike the Mentor's guidance and is currently running for local public office. Michael A.
